Our Impact

“Everyone Deserves a Home”

As a small business with a passion for crafting meaningful interiors, we use our platform to help us make a real impact. And since we believe that everyone deserves a safe and comfortable home, we support local non-profit partners dedicated to ending homelessness. We are unwaveringly committed to making a lasting positive impact through our charitable initiatives and invite you to get to know our partner for 2024: Humble Design

Homelessness in Seattle is a crisis and to address this, Seattle needs more permanent supportive housing. A recent study shows that rates of homelessness across the U.S. are due to mental illness, drug addiction and poverty, yet West Coast cities like Seattle have 5 times the homelessness rates than that of areas with much lower housing costs like Arkansas, West Virginia, Detroit, and Chicago even though these latter locations have high burdens of opioid addiction and poverty.

Belltown Design pledges to donate 1% of staff time, product, and/or profit to Humble Design, our charitable recipient for 2024.

Humble Design / Togetherness to End Homelessness

Entering housing is an important step in the journey out of homelessness, but not enough to solve the problem. Half of those who enter housing return to shelters within the year. Humble Design ends the revolving door of homelessness by creating homes where families can find peace, strength, and hope.

“What is the meaning of home? – it is not just a place. It isn’t easy to define, and you just know when you are there. Safety, security, stability. Home is a place where you and your family can be secure, have all you need, and share your sadness and happiness. Where you can help each other as a family. It does not matter how big or small.”
