These clients have reached the time in their lives where they wish to surround themselves with their art collection of California landscapes, glass, ceramic, and fiber arts. The collection was assembled over the years and certainly set the tone for this contemporary Seattle Condominium Remodel.

The fireplace design brought this space from the 1990s to 2023 by extending it to the ceiling with a clean, black porcelain tile surround. The living room answers to the Elliot Bay waterfront, with a blue water area rug, and light sandy tones that say “beach.” The Lexington sofa was selected to coordinate well with the Didier Gomez settee and chair with new custom pillows to jazz up these stylish pieces. The room overlooks a choice view of the sculpture park’s airborne Alexander Calder “The Eagle” and we aimed for a light and airy quality.

This condominium’s open concept has a spacious quality like nature itself. We designed the paint color scheme carefully to express exactly this. Using luminous, natural tones and finishes, and subtle, neutral color changes throughout the space, we created a unity and flow from room to room.

The dining room and kitchen are adorned with the Galaxia chandelier and pendants by Hilliard Lamps with garnet glass tiles. The kitchen update involved newly painted cabinetry, brushed nickel hardware, plumbing fixtures, and appliances. It’s altogether satisfying to update the kitchen using what is already there.

The coordinating Kyoto table lamp with garnet glass by Hilliard and our favorite painting in this client’s collection. It is so calming and intimate.

We refurbished the kitchen with new appliances, hardware, plumbing fixtures, and paint. The results of the cabinetry are beautiful with this carefully formulated stone paint color against the metallic backsplash and simple brushed nickel cabinet pulls.

Comfortable swivel chairs from Biltwell, a local Portland Oregon furniture manufacturer. What a wonderful place to read, swivel and enjoy the warm grey tones both inside and out.

The powder room became a refuge, using natural grass cloth wallpaper to give a natural and spa-like atmosphere.

A cozy bedroom is the key to longevity. Another chair by our favorite local furniture manufacturer. We aimed for “everything nature” in this soothing space.
